Pimentkörner are a marvel of aromas and have a spicy-warm taste of cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves. The spice is mainly cultivated in Central America, on the West Indian Islands or Jamaica and harmonizes perfectly with chocolate, e.g. in fine desserts. The small grains are very rich in essential oils and are very suitable as an inlay spice for fish, especially maties, cucumbers or sauerkraut. With its warm and spicy aroma, pimento is also good for mulled wine and punch and, of course, Christmas biscuits.
