THEO is the vinegar brand from the traditional Balema winery, which has been cultivating and perfecting vinegar production in Kehl-Marlen, Baden, for five generations. Here, on the edge of the Black Forest, the Berl family has been producing vinegar by hand since 1868, with each generation continuing and refining the values of traditional vinegar brewing.
The art of vinegar for generations
For over 150 years, the production of THEO vinegars has followed the guidelines of the brewery codex "ACETUM 1868 GERMANITUS", which stipulates purity, naturalness and craftsmanship. Without technical additives, colorants or artificial flavors, THEO produces a vinegar of pure quality, which is refined in a unique way through slow fermentation. The raw materials come from regional cultivation, and processing directly on site guarantees freshness and short transportation routes - values that are reflected in the quality and taste of the vinegars.
